Implementation decision on the revised Consumer Credit Directive
The decision sets out rules for offering consumer credit. These include rules on when a credit provider must check a customer’s financial information before granting consumer credit and when a credit provider must consult the Credit Registration Office (BKR) register before granting credit to a consumer. These rules are intended to protect consumers. The rules on registering credit in the BKR are not covered by this implementation. The starting point of the bill and the decision to implement the revised Consumer Credit Directive (CCDII) is that the current situation regarding BKR registrations will remain unchanged.
