Acceptant Payment Service Provider. Card payment service provider that receives debit card payments on behalf of merchants (such as retailers) into its own bank account and periodically distributes those payments to those merchants, for example once a day or once a week. Useful for retailers whose own bank is not an acquirer for debit card payments.
